The Mothertelling Experience
Where you step out of the ordinary and find magic.
Saturday May 2nd 2026
Wilmot, ON
Isnโt it wild how we can be constantly connected yet, still feel alone?
How we can be needed all the time, yet still feel unseen.
How we can carry so much, and rarely be acknowledged for it.
The Mothertelling Experience exists to offer the opposite.
A full day, just for you, to step out of the ordinary and into meaningful connection - to be seen, heard, and celebrated.

The day will feature stories from the stage and the page!
Join us for a celebration of all that motherhood is with powerful and relatable stories from those brave enough to share on stage and on the printed page.
Hear live storytelling and excerpts from the co-authors of the first Mothertelling Book.
The day is a story-led experience curated around connection. See yourself in the pages of the book, the stories shared on stage but also in the conversations and the community experience that will leave you feeling seen, heard and understood.

โWhat an incredible experience. Truly. I actually booked my ticket last minute as my sister in law was a story teller. I really went in to support her but ended up so tuned in and in tears with every single story teller. Everyone so different yet so relatable. It was beautiful and I literally cannot wait to attend then next one!โ

Charity of Choice
As part of the MOTHERTELLING mission to give back to a charitable organization in the community, I have chosen The Hummingbird Centre for Hope. This organization has been near and dear to my heart since I first learned of it shortly after becoming a mother.
Hummingbird Centre for Hope (HCH) was established in 2012 to meet the unique and evolving needs of individuals who lose their spouse or partner at a young age, and encounter themselves shouldering the responsibility of raising a child or children as a widowed parent.
Marny Williams, Founder and past Mothertelling storyteller will be joining us at the event to share more information!
The Heart Behind Mothertelling.
Hello! Iโm Courtney Hobbs, the founder of Mothertelling, a platform that helps people share, connect and celebrate all that Motherhood is through sharing our real, lived experiences live on stage.
Mothertelling was created because I saw how many women were carrying entire lifetimes of stories with nowhere safe or meaningful to put them.
As a teacher, storyteller, mother, and community-builder, Iโve spent years watching what happens when people are finally given the space to speak and be heard.
Everything in me believes this: Stories are not just meant to be told. They are meant to be held.
Mothertelling is a growing ecosystem of events, programs, and spaces where people can find their voice, build their confidence, and tell their stories with courage.
And the Main Stage Experience is the place where it all comes together.
What past attendees are saying!
๐ "Setting the intention of finding your community is one thing, stepping into the experience of finding them is another & I'm grateful to report, I have found them. An incredible woman bringing together incredible women whom bravely share their stories, step out of comfort zones, evoke feelings & releasing of emotions within themselves & in the audience, all leading with light through storytelling - those are my kind of people - thank you Courtney!"

๐ "As mothers, our needs often fall behind everyone elseโs. Having our own voices heard in this way is a gift."
