Are you ready to attend an event like no other?

The sun outside creates a warm welcome on this first Saturday in May. Youโ€™ve picked up your mom and your friend and the anticipation of the day ahead is fills the car.

โ€œIโ€™m excited to hear Jenniferโ€™s storyโ€, you say to your mom.

โ€œI want to hear Roseโ€™s storyโ€ she replies.

โ€œMy friend who went last year said the food was amazing!โ€!

โ€œI heard the same thingโ€, your friend adds.

You arrive just off the highway to your destination. The parking is easy and you enter the building. Smiles, colours and a warm welcome greet you!

As you walk through the doors you know youโ€™re in the right place! This is just the day you need to relax, enjoy and celebrate all that it means to be a mom.

As part of the MOTHERTELLING mission to give back to a charitable organization in the community, I have chosen The Hummingbird Centre for Hope. This organization has been near and dear to my heart since I first learned of it shortly after becoming a mother. Hummingbird Centre for Hope (HCH) was established in 2012 to meet the unique and evolving needs of individuals who lose their spouse or partner at a young age, and encounter themselves shouldering the responsibility of raising a child or children as a widowed parent. Two of our storytellers this year have been supported by The Hummingbird Centre so it feels fitting and exciting to bring this cause to the MOTHERTELLING event!

Martha, Mothertelling Attendee

โ€œMothertelling is a powerful and supportive stage for the voices of the nurturers of this world to be heard. The personal stories mothers share also allows for healing and reflection for those who get to listen. It is such a gift to share the struggles and triumphs of the most difficult but valuable role a woman may experience. Having your own voice and story heard and shared creates a space for connection, hope, support and love. This is an art and a gift wrapped in one. Bring a tissue, or the box!!!โ€

What the day looks like:

10 am - Arrival

Check in, grab your goodies, fill you cup (literally with coffee, juice, tea), have a snack, pick your seat and mingle at your table or with the vendors!

11am - Performance begins

Sit with friends, new and old around a table and enjoy the stories. Be entertained, feel connected and maybe grab a tissue.

12:30pm - Lunch

Enjoy a gourmet lunch you have pre-ordered so it meets all of your dietary requirements and pleases your tastebuds! Mingle with the storytellers, vendors and other likeminded attendees.

1:30pm - Performances resume.

Sit back and enjoy more stories plus a few bonus activities to spark your creativity and storytelling!

3pm - Closing

Share hugs with new friends, visit vendor booths one last time and grab a sweet treat for the road!

This event is for you if:

โœ”๏ธ You crave a space where the realities of motherhoodโ€”both beautiful and brutalโ€”are honoured and shared.

โœ”๏ธ You want to hear voices that remind you that you are not alone in this journey.

โœ”๏ธ You love storytelling that moves you, inspires you, and makes you laugh and cry in the best way.

โœ”๏ธ You need a day out that fills your heart and soul in ways you didnโ€™t even realize you needed.

โœ”๏ธ You are a mother, support a mother, or simply want to be part of an event that celebrates the incredible strength and depth of motherhood.

Where the Voices of Women Are Heard, Felt & Celebrated

A day of stories, shared live on stage because Motherhood is messy, magical, and everything in between. But too often, the stories of mothersโ€”the nurturers, the caregivers, the ones holding it all togetherโ€”go unheard.

Mothertelling is here to change that.

Step into a room where raw, real, and remarkable stories come to life. A space where laughter and tears flow freely, where vulnerability is met with understanding, and where every story shared becomes a thread in the greater fabric of motherhood.

Why You Canโ€™t Miss This Event

An incredible woman bringing together incredible women whom bravely share their stories, step out of comfort zones, evoke feelings & releasing of emotions within themselves & in the audience, all leading with light through storytelling - those are my kind of people - thank you Courtney!"

๐Ÿ’› "What an incredible experience. Truly. I actually booked my ticket last minute as my sister in law was a story teller. It was beautiful and I literally cannot wait to attend then next one!"

๐Ÿ’› "As mothers, our needs often fall behind everyone elseโ€™s. Having our own voices heard in this way is a gift."
