What is Micro Mothertelling?

Micro Mothertelling is where true stories meet a small stage and a close-knit audience.

It’s the cozy little sister to our MainStage events — fewer seats, softer lighting, and a sense that you’re part of something personal. Picture a coffeehouse open mic crossed with a living-room gathering, where strangers quickly feel like friends.

Each event has a theme, from the joy and chaos of the holidays, to the deep tenderness of motherhood milestones, to the unexpected twists life throws our way. You’ll hear 5–8 women share real, personal stories that make you laugh, cry, and nod along thinking, “Yes… me too.”

Please note: Tickets are non-refundable but they are transferable. Please email: connect@courtneyhobbs.ca if you need to do this!

Why You’ll Love These Nights

  • A warm, intimate atmosphere — close seating, candlelight, and a feeling of being part of the story.

  • A shared theme — so each storyteller brings a new layer of perspective to the night.

  • Snacks, coffee, and tea included — because stories are even better over something warm and comforting.

  • A short, sweet escape — two hours that leave you inspired, connected, and full-hearted.

Martha, Mothertelling Main Stage Attendee

“Mothertelling is a powerful and supportive stage for the voices of the nurturers of this world to be heard. The personal stories mothers share also allows for healing and reflection for those who get to listen. It is such a gift to share the struggles and triumphs of the most difficult but valuable role a woman may experience. Having your own voice and story heard and shared creates a space for connection, hope, support and love. This is an art and a gift wrapped in one. Bring a tissue, or the box!!!”

What Makes Them Different From the Main Stage Event?

If MainStage Mothertelling is the big, electric concert…
Micro Mothertelling is the private living-room performance you’ll never forget.

Main Stage Events are a full and elaborate day with vendors and a large audience. Micro Events keep it simple: 5–8 storytellers, 50–75 guests, and the kind of space where you can hear every breath, every laugh, every moment of pause.

Both have magic. One just lets you sit closer to it.

Who You’ll Hear From

Every storyteller you’ll hear is a member of the Mothertelling Academy - a creative, connected community where women learn to find, shape, and share their stories with confidence.

Many of them started just like you: sitting in the audience at an event like this, thinking, “Maybe I have a story worth telling.”
The next time, they were holding the mic!

Could That Be You?

If the thought of stepping onto this stage makes your heart race in the best way, the Mothertelling Academy is where it starts.
It’s the only way to be considered for a spot on a Micro or MainStage — and it’s where you’ll learn the art of crafting a story that holds a room.

What past attendees are saying!

💛 "Setting the intention of finding your community is one thing, stepping into the experience of finding them is another & I'm grateful to report, I have found them. An incredible woman bringing together incredible women whom bravely share their stories, step out of comfort zones, evoke feelings & releasing of emotions within themselves & in the audience, all leading with light through storytelling - those are my kind of people - thank you Courtney!"

💛 "What an incredible experience. Truly. I actually booked my ticket last minute as my sister in law was a story teller. I really went in to support her but ended up so tuned in and in tears with every single story teller. Everyone so different yet so relatable. It was beautiful and I literally cannot wait to attend then next one!"

💛 "As mothers, our needs often fall behind everyone else’s. Having our own voices heard in this way is a gift."
