Kris Daria, Storyteller
Before meeting Courtney, I was super nervous about sharing this vulnerable side of me openly… She lovingly coached me and the other storytellers over several weeks leading up to the event. We had weekly check-ins and virtual rehearsals to help us feel super ready. I'm so grateful to Courtney for helping me craft and refine my story, and for giving me the courage to share it!
Are you ready to discover the power of your story?
The Mothertelling Book will be:
A Transformative Anthology Celebrating the Voices of Women
A heartwarming collection of stories from women who have navigated the transformative journey of motherhood with courage, grace, and authenticity.
A book that shines a light on the challenges, triumphs, and deeply personal moments that shape motherhood.
Powerful stories from navigating the early days of parenting and overcoming personal struggles to celebrating milestones and finding balance, each story is a testament to the resilience of mothers and the beauty of their shared humanity.
It will be more than a book, Mothertelling is a movement—a celebration of women reclaiming their stories and creating a lasting legacy of connection and empowerment for themselves and others.

Courtney Hobbs
The Mothertelling vision was birthed alongside my first daughter 6 years ago when moms shared their stories with me while we spent time in the NICU. Their messages helped me feel connected. They helped me feel seen and understood at a time when I felt alone.
I knew from that moment I wanted to bring mothers together to share true stories of motherhood so we could connect deeply through shared experiences.
I wanted to develop a supportive community with people who understood the joys, challenges, struggles and triumphs of motherhood.
I wanted moms to feel celebrated in all that it means to be a mom. That is Mothertelling - the experience, the community.

No. I can definitely help you find your story to tell. However, coming into the project with a story on your heart that you want to tell will serve you and others best.
-
Plan for at least an hour a week. But in the writing portion more hours will be required - 3-4 per week would be realistic.

-
That is Ah-mazing! Bring all your stories! We will work together to make sure your chapter is cohesive and includes exactly what your chapter needs to be inspiring and impactful.
-
I’m glad you asked. The answer is no. Although we will be focusing on stories of motherhood and the majority of us will be moms, the tools and techniques taught will be beneficial to anyone who feels they have a motherhood story to tell.
-
Maybe you aren’t ready to tell that story yet… Although sharing your story is therapeutic it is not therapy. We have designed this program to help you tell your story not heal you trauma. Working with your story will help you but it is not a replacement for real therapy. We are happy to help guide you to trusted professionals if that is what you think you need first ♥️
